Grand River near Paris Ontario provides a classic Ontario view year round. Gentle power of an ancient waterway and quaint 19th Century mill town lined with trees really shine as foilage colours shift in the Fall. Ruins of an old textile mill now serve as a portage point for canoe runs along Grand and create a wonderful bend in the river, a perfect spot to relax, reflect and, only sometimes, freeze while waiting for the first morning light. A truly special place.
This October, colours were not as great as the past season, in 2014, but still nice. This weekend morning in October made an offering of a great long exposure, for that silky but colourful look. Nature’s true art work.
Lovely morning on the water, great way to get one of this Fall’s definitive photographs. Next step, turning it into a wall-worthy print.
